Khalil Ghasemi stated that from the beginning of this year until the end of September, 17 mining exploration licenses and 57 permits for the extraction of sand, gravel, and clay have been issued in Hormozgan Province.
He emphasized that the God-given mineral advantages in Hormozgan provide a suitable opportunity for investment in the province’s mines and require more attention to this important and influential economic sector. He added that establishing and operating processing units, developing and completing the mining cycle, and advancing downstream industries create the conditions for sustainable employment.
The Head of the Hormozgan Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization, referring to the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade’s plans to attract investment in the mineral industry, said: “One of the most important priorities this year is achieving the goals of the Production Leap and realizing the movement to reduce raw material exports, in line with the directives of the Supreme Leader, as outlined in this organization’s programs.”
He added that 12 mineral discovery certificates, covering an area of approximately 13.49 square kilometers and with reserves exceeding 49 million tons, were issued in the first quarter of this year in the province.
Ghasemi concluded by noting that the development of mines and mineral industries is one of the most important programs of the Hormozgan Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization in the Year of Production, Support, and Removal of Obstacles.
